Relationships are everywhere. A relationship is not necessarily with a significant other, it can vary from a friendship, to family members and more. It does not matter what type of relationship you may have with people, what is important is the way you treat each other.
You are walking by and overhear a conversation between two girls. All of a sudden you see one of the girls storm out and and yell out a ‘mean word’ to the other girl. You decide to walk over to the girl and ask her if she is okay, because you see her begin to cry. When you ask her if she is okay the other girl comes back, storms in, and starts yelling at you because you began talking to her girlfriend.
This scenario is an example of an unhealthy relationship. This unhealthy relationship consists of jealousy and controlling because a) the girl that stormed off came back to yell at you and b) as soon as she saw you talking to her girlfriend she decided to pull her away.
An unhealthy relationship is very common and sometimes some signs are ignored, avoided, or simply not noticed. When you feel like “you cannot breathe” (metaphorically) that show be a sign. It is always highly important to recognize signs and try to avoid the person when you feel insecure or uncomfortable around them.
